Corn Stalk Pyrolysis Equipment: Thermal Pyrolysis Opens New Value Path for Abundant Crop Residues

Every harvest season brings enormous volumes of corn stalk, a representative category C agricultural herbaceous residue. While corn stalk is widely available across farming regions, most conventional treatment approaches fail to fully leverage its biomass value. Zhengzhou Dingli’s Corn Stalk Pyrolysis Equipment leverages continuous thermal pyrolysis to transform bulk straw into high performance biochar, unlocking fresh revenue streams for agricultural operators.
The system delivers controlled thermal decomposition under oxygen free or low oxygen conditions. Pre-processed corn stalk for pyrolysis requires moisture below 15% and particle size below 30 mm. The full pyrolysis production line comprises single layer pyrolysis reactor, multifuel optional preheating burner, combustible gas purification device, induced fan, feeding conveyor, cooling discharging unit and power distribution control system. Pyrolysis depth can be flexibly modulated to deliver biochar with volatile matter residue ranging 10-25%.
Thermally converted corn stalk biochar performs excellently as biochar soil conditioner and agricultural biochar fertilizer, improving soil structure and enhancing water fertilizer retention capability. The pyrolysis produced carbon can also be applied as fuel carbon or further processed into commercial barbecue charcoal.Byproduct combustible gas generated in the pyrolysis reaction is recycled as system heating energy, lowering overall energy consumption. Purpose-built for straw type biomass feedstock, the pyrolysis equipment maintains steady operation with eco-friendly emissions and extended working life. Custom fit crushing and drying modules are available for projects of different capacities.
