Rice Straw Pyrolysis Equipment: Converting Bulk Agricultural Crop Residues Into Market‑Ready Biochar

As a major agricultural by‑product, rice straw is generated in massive volumes every harvest season (Category C agricultural waste in raw material catalogue). Large‑scale open‑field burning of rice straw causes serious air pollution, while random stacking occupies land and brings safety hazards. To properly dispose this abundant herbaceous plant straw and tap its economic potential, Zhengzhou Dingli has developed high‑performance Rice Straw Pyrolysis Equipment for continuous biomass carbon manufacturing.
This continuous drum‑type Biomass Pyrolysis Machine works under oxygen‑free or low‑oxygen environments. It accepts rice straw feedstock with moisture below 15% and particle size less than 30 mm. Inside the rotary drum, materials receive uniform continuous high‑temperature heating for pyrolysis carbonization. The carbonization depth is adjustable, with volatile‑matter residue of finished biochar controllable between 10‑25%. The whole set consists of single‑layer carbonization host, multi‑option preheating burners, combustible‑gas purification unit, feeding conveyor, cooling discharge machine and electric control system.
Output rice‑straw biochar serves as premium biochar soil conditioner and agricultural biochar fertilizer, improving soil structure, boosting soil water‑retention and fertilizer‑holding capacity for farmland. In addition to agricultural soil amendment, the carbon product can also be used as fuel carbon raw material, and further processed into BBQ charcoal.
Recovered combustible gas generated during straw pyrolysis is reused as internal heat source, cutting external fuel cost and lifting overall energy efficiency. Featuring strong material adaptability, stable running condition and long service life, the system can be integrated with crushing and drying modules according to project demands.
