Introduction to rubber pyrolysis products at different temperatures

 The pyrolysis treatment of rubber mainly refers to waste tires, waste belts, waste hoses, etc. produced by Tianre Rubber; while synthetic chloroprene rubber and nitrile rubber are not suitable for pyrolysis because they will produce HCI and HCN during pyrolysis.

The high-temperature pyrolysis of waste tires relies on external heating to open the chemical chain, so that organic matter can be decomposed or liquefied or vaporized. The pyrolysis temperature is in the range of 250~500 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is higher than 250 degrees Celsius, the liquid oil and gas decomposed from the broken tires increase with the increase of temperature. When the temperature is above 400 degrees Celsius, depending on the method used, the output of liquid oil and solid carbon black decreases with the increase of gas output.

4% NaOH solution is the most commonly used catalyst for the pyrolysis of waste tires. It can accelerate the breakage of polymer chains, increase the output of liquid oil at the same temperature, and improve the quality of the product.

Pyrolysis products of natural rubber products:
Gas (22%): methane, ethane, ethylene, water, CO2, H2, butadiene, etc.;
Liquids (27%): benzene, toluene and other aromatic hydrocarbons;
Charcoal ash (39%);
Steel wire (27%).
